Let's Chat Vision Board Session - It was a HUGE success

Let's Chat is the brain child of my girlfriend Giana and I; the idea came from our many conversations about empowering ourselves.

1st order of business was to have our vision board started! we did it. 6 ladies a large living room space and clippings etc that we placed on our boards!

this is just the beginning...... next meet up will be in March...... look out for the dates and times if you would like to join us!

What happened to 2017

Dear folks! Seems liked we blinked and 2017 I all gone! Simply favors took a bit of a back seat to show and it tells!

We are still in business and we are planning big things for next year! We are so ready for 2018.
Some of the exciting things we have in store include a ladies Get together - Let's Chat! An opportunity to mix and mingle with ladies in the area and exchange ideas....... Look out for invites to events throughout the year...... We are also planning mix and mingle events for 30 somethings & 40 somethings in the Philly / Jersey/ Delaware area next year ...... Look out for information on those too

We continue to work with area vendors to bring the best in party and event planning to you and look forward to working with couples, families and individuals alike for all your party needs

                Hope everyone had a nice summer! I cannot believe in a few days it will be fall.

I had an eventful summer which is ending with the beginning of a new chapter in my life; I am headed back to school, Chestnut Hill College to study Instructional Technology.

                One of the classes I am taking has an assignment that I am requesting your help with. I will be running a blog for the entire semester. As much as I will be working on the back end, I need you my friends and family to assist in the content development for the blog.

                For a few years now, I have wanted a chance to highlight the great people around me. I have decided to create a blog highlighting the lives and times of 40 people under 40. Yay! You are one of the 40!

there comes a time in our lives that we just have to take the next step! we have to move or be moved..... the key to this is to make the move impactful...... it is always best to make the move on your own; not being forced by anyone or anything.
here at Simply Favors, we are taking the next move...... we are working on what we are doing and making sure that the next move that we make, leads us in the right direction.

Sam's mission trip

Sam is headed to Burundi to spread the word of God; please support her financially  n in prayer

I am happy to announce that the official count down has begun!

In less than 5 weeks I will be on my way to Bujumbura Burundi! As of today my tickets have been purchased, we will be traveling from Philadelphia to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Nairobi, Kenya and from Kenya to Burundi. Though we leave on Friday July 22nd, we will be traveling over 17 hours to get to our destination. Our team is slated to arrive in Burundi on Sunday July 24th at 2:00am. Talk about an amazing race!

You know when I initially signed up for this trip we were going to Zimbabwe. However, about 2 months into the planning it became apparent to the leaders that God was re-directing them to Bujumbura Burundi instead.  Although the mid-way change was startling to some, I believe that God's ways are often not our ways which is sometimes hard for us to understand. So as the plans and redirection efforts are now targeted towards Burundi, where there has been some political unrest, God is already showing his favor. Last month our on the ground team was invited to meet with His Excellency Pierre Nkurunziza. During the visit he shared his desire for healing and restoration to his country. Already God has granted us favor with the President as he wanted us to know that he welcomes us to Burundi. Just hearing this piece of news should make you excited – your prayers and gifts are not in vain.

Thank you for your continued prayers not only for myself and my local team but for Burundi!

the Woman who made the Woman

As long as i can remember myself I've always known my grandmother Helen Abebi Awe, she was always a strong woman and it seemed she just loved me unconditionally!
On April 28th, she passed on to glory.
this is my moms first (American) mothers day with out her mother.

i dedicate today's message to Helen Abebi Awe #helenabebi

i have had many women as role models; Olori Tijuara Aderemi, Princess Tejumade Alakija,  and Helen Abebi Awe, all who are in heaven now. i know that what i have learnt from them will not depart from me.
