talking to the mother of the bride was such a delightful experience. very easy going lady and just overjoyed for her daughter. 

helping with MCing the Traditional Marriage, we sent her the outline that we typically use and adapted it to include the wine carrying as her future Son In Law is Ibo (Enugu)

Ola and Irene celebrated their Love in a Traditional Marriage Ceremony on August 28th 2015 in #bensalem PA at the #celebrations event center. I had the pleasure of representing @Simply_Favors #Simplyfavors as the Alaga Iduro (Groom's Family Rep) for the ceremony. 

We had a lovely time. the bride and groom both looked like they were totally in #LOVE.

Saturday August 8th had been ordained by God from the beginning of time as the date that Dedun and Kunle will celebrate their traditional marriage.
Both families came from near and far...... Nigeria,Ireland, Canada, England, Scotland, and all corners of the USA to celebrate them..................

It's a BOY and we know it

It was another snowy Saturday and we were planning a shower. Kemi and Femi were expecting their little boy in March and we could have not been much more happier for them.

at the request of mommy, we ordered some italian food along with desserts (tiramisu and canolli's) and had a nice intimate celebration at home.

the decor was simple at the moms request and the pom poms were hand made.

we ate, drank and had great conversation. At the end of the night we sent our guests forth with mini sparkling ciders.

the cake was made by Schenks Bakery and they did a great job!

i have to say mom was pleased.
baby was born in March and has enjoyed much love from his Philly village and the crew in Yonkers as well.

Valentine's Day Its a GIRL baby shower

It was Valentines day 2015, the Philly Chicks hosted a baby shower for our girl! we were expecting a baby girl so we could go all out with the pink. the venue was Aku's kitchen which is located on Chestnut St in Philadelphia.

we were all excited about the baby on the way, her mom is a long time friend and it was a pleasure decorating this party.

the ladies had a nice time and cannot wait to meet lil one who came in March.

Adesewa's Cute and Prissy Party

when we met with Adesewa in November 2014! she was a young woman who knew what she wanted for her next birthday. in January of 2015, Adesewa was turning 9. she wanted a spa party and had her own specific colors in mind. she also had her guest list including her cousin.

it was a fairly cold Tuesday in January that this young lady turned 9 and we were there to celebrate with her.

with the help of the simply favors staff, we pulled off a nice intimate celebration for her that included the young friends getting a manicure and getting to have make up applied. once the spa portion was complete, we cut the birthday cake, opened her cards and them started with the glamour photo sessions.

wearing her boar, and the fancy glasses favors we had for the girls, Adesewa and her guests took part in multiple poses and pictures.

at the end of the day, she was very pleased with her birthday party!
this is her last year in single digit! next year,double digits and double the fun!!!!

More from our Crayon Shower

once all the crayons were made, we took some pictures

 we gave the desired floor plan to the hall and they delivered on the vision we had in mind

 each table also had an elegant magarita glass that was full of crayons. we encouraged the adults to sit and color as well; and they did

 Kids corner was a hit, they kids colored and played pokemon cards as well

 the shower umbrella was decorated in blue since baby came early (before then it was a surprise)

 Daddy table in red! all about the RED

 Daddy made the cake selection . it was a surprise to mom. Schenks Family Bakery in Rhawnhurst really delivered .

 the huge lollipops were the favors for the day. it was adorned by custom made labels with the shower date.

 this cake was off the hook and it tastes good too!

Red Yellow Green Blue! Tell me, what else do you see?

when i met with Mom and Dad about the vision for their Philadelphia Shower (May 2nd 2015) in January 2015, the only challenge they gave me was how to incorporate the color RED into a "spring time" baby shower.

Both mommy and daddy are long time friends and it was important that i deliver big time on their request. 

i went into my think tank to try to figure out how i am going to make Red stand out in the shower for their little bundle of joy. 

as we returned to their home after our first meeting, we switched gears and started to catch up on old times. VH1 was playing old school jams and we started talking about our days in high school and college. 

one video started to play and the idea popped into my head! we will have a crayon themed baby shower, we will use 4 colors and red will be the daddy area. 

spread sheets and many months later, we were able to pull off the crayon themed baby shower. along with the shower came a few surprises, baby came early and he's the cutest boy ever! and mommy and daddy are over joyed. 

the crayons were hand made prior to the day of the event. the linens are part of Simply Favors stock which is available to rent.
